No visit to the Crescent City would be complete without a visit to this tradition. Coffee and bignets (pronounced banyeas) at Cafe duMonde.
Mmmmmmmm......
The coffee shop opened it's doors in 1862, keeping a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week schedule except for Christmas Day and an occasional close call from a hurricane.
