Valentine Lake is one of the quietest and most peaceful places in the state of Louisiana. No motorized boats are allowed in the mid sized lake. There are a lot of fish in the lake too.

This is one of the areas along the shore that has masses of colorful Louisiana Iris. Valentine lake has both the yellow and blue varieties of this beautiful plant.

There are campgrounds located on both sides of the lake, located in the piney woods of the Kisatchie National Forest.
