Maison daboval - the white structure located to the left side of the photo - was built in 1892. The former boarding house now serves as a bed and breakfast, afforing its guests with a unique view of railroading.
The former Southern Pacific "Sunset Route" passes only 100 feet from the house. The upper balcony affords the guests an opportunity to sit in rocking chairs and watch the trains pass by.
Amtrak's Sunset passes here six days a week, at speeds of 50mph.
This photo was taken for the bed and breakfast.
