Our Louisiana Iris

Despite everything that has happened to them, we did get one blossom.

We planted them in about 4 inches of water last February, then the north Texas drought began. In March of this year, the plants were 50 feet from the waterline. Then in early April, the land was bush-hogged, with all of the plants being chopped.

We dug them up and put them into pots.....again.... bringing them into the covered patio. We were rewarded by this bloom.

They've been through a lot and still have rewarded you with blooms! Lovely shot.
