Petit Jean State Park is located atop Petit Jean Mountain, which rises 1207 ft above sea level. Most of the facilities in the park were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps of native logs and stone, during the 1930’s. These structures are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Petit Jean offers hiking, picnicking, and camping.

The most spectacular sight at Petit Jean is Cedar Creek Falls, a 95 ft waterfall, flowing out through Cedar Creek Canyon to the west. Other points of interest are, Bear Cave, Turtke Rocks, and Stout Point.

Mather Lodge and restaurant offer 24 guest rooms and fresh meals in native stone buildings.
