TAWNY PIPIT - ANTHUS CAMPESTRIS - PIPIT ROUSSELINE


The Tawny Pipit breeds in Europe and winters in Africa, south of the Sahara, in Arabian Peninsula and Indian Subcontinent.
This species frequents open dry habitats, dunes, sandy areas and also gravel-pits.
This large pipit nests on the ground, in scrape, hollow, or tuft of grass.
The nest is made with stems, leaves and roots, and lined with softer materials.
This one was foraging on the ground among grasses, running and pecking.
This bird runs quickly and is a very elegant.
