Lamia textor (15 to 32 mm) is a large coleopter of the Cerambycidae family.
It moves slowly as on trees or on the ground, and does not fly often.
It grows in dead or decayed wood and it is found in humid woodland.
This species is now locally rare in France in several regions and considered as threatened.
Its French name is Lamia tisserand.
