This region is beautiful in autumn too. Colours are both soft and contrasted, the weather is often good and the light is superb.
This time, the Spanish Imperial Eagle was present again, always in the same area in Monfragüe Park, flying and soaring among many Eurasian Griffon Vultures. Sometimes, they meet in the air, involving some aggressive behaviour during a few seconds.

Numerous Eurasian Griffon Vultures and only two or three Cinereous Vultures were soaring and perching on the cliffs. They are preparing their breeding season which starts in winter, sooner than in other species.

The Blue Rock Thrush is always perched on the same rock at Salto del Gitano in the park. It is in winter plumage, greyer than in spring, but its plumage shows some blue tinge with the light.

Monfragüe is always an amazing place for birding and enjoying peaceful landscapes. The water with the two rivers, and the mountains covered with evergreen cork oaks make this place very attractive.
