How the legendary (old) Leica 35 f2 pre-asph compares to the excellent Canon 35 f1.4 L ?
The leica lens stands on a M6,
the canon lens is mounted on a eos 1V and a 5D.

A Pro TriX film (400 ASA) is shot on the M6 until half, and, to get consistent results, rewinded and put into the canon 1V for the last shots. The film is developped with Kodak D-76 (1+1) at 20°C. Then it is scanned with a Nikon Coolscan V (50); the results presented here are obtained with a 8 bit scan depth.

5D pictures are shot in RAW, then processed with lightroom.
I took 5D pictures in 400 ASA. I could have used 100 ASA to get the best results. But then I would have chosen a 100 ASA film to compare with!

Edit: since this test, I noticed the TriX it at is best at ASA 200. I'll redo the tests some day!
