I did like the autumn shot that you posted just recently; beautifully colourful, bright, and rich indeed. But I did think that it seemed unusual for your style which tends more toward the dark and funereal, with light touches (in all senses). This is of course a more typical example, The stonework that the pewter pot is sitting on has a tomb-like texture to it, and while the flowers are still alive they're obviously just at the start of their transition to that great flowerbed in the sky. And yet they're spotlighted, balancing the sense of impending decay with a vibrancy and life. If you'll pardon me doing the same thing to grammar for a moment, you do this stuff real good. You have a style which is much less pedestrian than many of us. I miss you when you do your periodic disappearances from PBase.
