Pinesap

Monotropa hypopithys. Like Indian Pipe (Monotropa uniflora), it has no chlorophyll, and must obtain all its nutrients from organic matter in the soil. This one is found in acidic woods, usually in a pine/oak type forest. Beautiful and unusual!
