Horned Lark

These birds were so close to the car and yet very difficult to photograph with their faces up! They were intensely foraging in the field for seeds. Really fun to watch. There were probably about 20-30. I focused on the ones closest to me and took way too many pictures as usual. They are usually very skittish, but were unafraid of the car. I didn't try to get out or that would have flushed them.
