20- Yellowstone Park

In 1988 Yellowstone experienced a forest fire that spread to 793,880 acres at one point 9,000 fire fighters were assigned to fight this fire.
The trees you see in this image and through out the park are left to mother nature instead of bieng removed.
Giving back to the soil over a period of years.
I took several images of scenes like this, it reminds one of what happened and yet how great mother nature is in healing the wounds of a forest fire.
To keep things is persepective ,Yellowstone Park is 2.2 million acres in size.

I saw something similar in 1995 when we were in New Mexico. It is amazing how the trees and vegetation do come back. Lovely composition and the sky is marvelous! ~V~
