We left Hua Lien in the early morning and arrived at Jiu Fen (¾Å·Ý) near noon by train. We booked a homestay which is not located along the old streets of Jiu Fen, but about halfway to the top of the hill (Jiu Fen is on the hill). The surrounding was not fantastic and the rooms are small and squeezy. But anyway, we were going to stay there for only one night so just bear with it. Jiu Fen old town was as crowded as ever, but after walking to and fro of the old street for 3 rounds and having taken 2 rounds afternoon teas and some snacks, we ran out of idea of what to do next. We went over to Jing Gua Shi (½ð¹Ïʯ) - a nearby town for a stroll, and then returned to Jiu Fen again in the evening to capture some night scenes. The shophouses were all closed by 9pm, and we returned to our accommodation for an early rest.
