As one of the highlight of our trip, this village will transform into a golden heaven in autumn every year. We stayed in a wooden hut and walked about 2km for 2 days uphill to wait for sunrise - yet the day was always gloomy. We spent the rest of the time strolling in the forest or by the river. We were like living inside a painting!
We left Hemu by horse riding to Jia Deng Yu (the entry of Kanas). Before we set off, it was drizzling. However, Tim and Chua said that since we were there already, we should take the horse-riding route (instead of by car) to Kanas else we would regret when we think back. So in the end all of us agreed despite very little prior training in horse-riding. The sceneries along the way was breathtaking but we took few photos because most of the time we need to hold on tight to the horse. By the end of the 6-hour ride, my legs had turned jelly and I felt my bum splitted. But that was an unforgettable experience.
