Rabbitbrush and 100 year old wood. Bodie folded about 1937.
I hit "Bodie" on Yahoo and all my pbase pictures were listed. What a surprise.

I always wonder what the story/history of a location might be. In this image the passage of time is revealed with the weathered textures and leaning boards while the bright flowers speak of regrowth and the new. Knowing the history of Bodie does help shed light on the past although your image has universal appeal. VV

Love the textures and combination of horizontal and vertical lines. The flowers brighten up the frame and form a nice bottom boundary.
