Neil September 1946

My first good camera. A 1930's Zeiss Maximar. Not too many inexpensive cameras were available after WW2. I was only able to find 3 cut film holders which meant only 3 exposures and the back to the darkroom, unload them and develop what I took. I notice the baggy pants. I had my father's cast offs. Money was tight for years.

Sony Alpha α7R II
1/250s f/6.3 at 46.0mm iso20000 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

This is quite a find. Looks like a park in Manhattan. Madison Park?

Thank you for sharing this wonderful image and memory. I have always felt it is not the camera but the photographer that makes all the difference. A view of your work through time proves this point perfectly. PS, Great seeing you with hair Neil. VVV
