Out of Service Grain Elevator

During the "cold war", Rock, Kansas became the site of a missile emplacement for the central part of the country. It was dismantled in early 1980. The town remains mostly empty with only business a sometimes open diner. I return once in a while to photograph it.

This is truly sensational! I love the subject, needless to say, but what makes it something really special is the combination of astute composition and catching the light as beautifully as you did. ~VVV~

MY kind of image with that spot of sunlight at the top of the grain elevator! So nicely done, Neil! You are lucky to be close to a ghost town such as this one which I"m sure provides a multitude of photo opportunities!
