Homeless

He looks pretty well setup but the give away is his location and rolled up sleeping bag. One wonders why...

Just finished the comments section here. If he is a cross country biker, I admire his grit. It does not look like the time of year to be out doing this sort of thing. If he is homeless, he gets many points for being squared away under dire circumstances.

I agree with Tom and Bill. He looks like he just finished some takeout, checking his phone and is on a bike trip.

Nice candid photo, but I agree with Bill... I think he's going cross country biking... clothes are not worn, backpack looks newer, bike has very good tread on the tires, has a shopping bag from a store.... and I'll bet he's looking at a cell phone. But... we'll never know for sure

For some it's a chosen life style - some of the homeless in Vancouver refused to accept the housing provided !! Great story telling shot. V

Most comments find this sad. I would like to think he is doing a cross country trip on his bicycle. V

problematic to be certain this man is homeless, as he appears so together, and organized...still the issue is a disturbing one, especially for the poor people on the streets..

I could write a essay on the subject but I won't because this image brilliantly shows enough for people to think deeply for themselves about what is happening in this nation (and perhaps the world).

I find this scene to be very sad! We are the riches country in the world and we
give away money like water yet you see this scene repeated over and over. We have politicians
that have focus on one thing for three years and too hell with the American people. So sad...

sad scene so nicely captured.

Impressive scene, well captured, Neil. ~V

A scene repeated so many times throughout the nation. Because of the yearlong mild climate here, people living on the streets is a problem that is growing all over the county. It is a sad and difficult problem and so far there are no good solutions. We have a good network of help organizations, like Father Joe's Village, which helps to provide temporary and transitional housing and meals, but it still falls woefully short of the need.
