Failed Effort, Shamrock, TX

Failed effort's are rife on the old portions of Rt.66. Mostly to no fault of the owner. When some of Rt 66 was incorporated into I-40,a modern highway, there was little incentive to use the old road. In most cases businesses failed due to lack of trade.

These old relics make such great subjects to shoot and you have cashed in on that opportunity so well.

This straight on view is quite compelling. Your processing shows the worn out textures and other details in a way that is both beautiful and shows the wear and tear and character of this once vibrant business. ~BV~

A failed effort perhaps, but a great attraction for photographers and others. V

Dismal and bleak, accentuated by the broken sign on top. Your processing work is perfect for this. "V"
