Maintenance

I visited a small airport in Benton, KS yesterday. They had a World War Two vintage B-17 bomber being checked out for passenger rides.

I really like this unique angle and composition of your capture of this B-17. This B-17 has the triangle K on the tail where my dad's plane had the square H as part of the 388th bomb group. This image caught my eye quickly. A symbol of so much history, gallantry and bravery. VV

Great Neil.... he has grease gun in hand for the tail wheel bearings... she's out of Beaverton, OR

Flying Fortress is an apt name for the B-17G as she can defend from any angle...

Cool capture. Love that you got the behind the scenes moment. WWII planes show up here every year at our local airport and they are really fun to see and photograph. The cost of rides is way out of my league though.

It looks almost like a brand new one, a bit vintage. Superb framing. V.
