A Family's Pond

Stepped away from rural areas of fading houses to see the other side in Wichita. I had never been here but my good friend John who is a native took me to see it. We were promptly stopped by a no nonsense woman who wanted to know who we were and why were we there. First impressions matter in life. John is distinguished and drives a spotless car. I don't think my 15 year old clunker would have won her over.
