Rumbling Along.... Often

The long trains rumbled through, blew a loud whistle and took a long time till the disturbance abated. The trains went through very often. We met one man going and coming out quickly from the post Office who lived a block away. Must have nerves of steel.
As Tom Beech mentioned there are just PO boxes and most likely a stamp machine. No people.

Well thought out story telling image. It tells the story that most commerce just rolls on by. ~BV~

I think Nick said it well regarding Americana. A visual definition of small town America. So much to see with the reflections, weathering and the engaging perspective Neil. Like the trains, time continues to pass. A very impressive capture. VV++

Interesting perspective! You can get used to anything. (Almost) We lived by a very busy RR track and after awhile you adapt, but we were in a place they had to slow down. That probably helped.

This is "Where the Sidewalk Ends"
Guessing the post office is only PO boxes and stamp machines?

I would not want to live close to the tracks.. Nice well composed image, Neil..

Very interesting shot. That post office doesn't look like it's even open so I guess it just needs some restoration work! V
