The Effervescent Owner...

I'm not a car buff. I do notice that many who have these vividly painted cars look like this. Explanation anyone.

Sony Alpha α7R II
1/160s f/13.0 at 39.0mm iso640 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

He is enjoying the car by sitting outside watching it instead of driving it. V

It's a way to get respect through their car, I think. Intriguing image Neil V

Sure... the cars are one off, many people want to be one off as well... problem is, it's come full circle and is more the norm than the exception these days.
Like tattoos and piercings , used to be unusual and attention getting to see someone with... now they are everywhere you look and no longer of interest to most... except in the most extreme cases
.....anyway, that's one man's opinion

In SoCal there is an active culture with hundreds of car shows taking place every Summer. I think the attraction is the milieu, the attention their cars get, talking about their cars, showing off and just hanging out. I've talked to guys who put a fortune of their money and their time into cars. It's their passion.

wanting attention perhaps...interesting that his clothes and chair colours echo those of the old station wagon...
