Fumarols spewing steam containing minerals. Dante's inferno came to mind.
Tom Beech spotted a moose , center, bottom. I confirmed by looking at the TIF

"Inferno" describes this shot perfectly - cool treatment - and the inclusion of a moose is a big plus :) V
