Neosho Falls Farmer

Neosho Falls is considered a ghost town. No stores or school. I met this pleasant farmer and his wife. I'll post his wife tomorrow.

The gritty, high contrast B&W treatment works exceedingly well for this portrait. It really emphasizes the rough and rugged aura of this farmer. ~BV~

This is a brilliant portrait.
There is so much told here.
His hand and the handle tells of his working life.
His expression seems to suggest a resoluteness to stay when most have gone and a kindness in his eyes sac well

A great portrait of this farmer as a tribute to all the people doing a hard job but who are not really rewarded for it ...BV.

This is a terrific portrait. You captured the down to earth character of this man so well and monochrome was the perfect choice. I especially like that you met him and didn't just grab the shot.
