I posted this in color and thought it didn't portray the Midwest conservative look that it had.

Missed this somehow. Really like the high contrast, textures, lines and the tight framing. "V"
The family of a friend of mine owned a mortuary here in SD, called "Goodbody".

I was going to say "dead on" composition, but then.... BV

The brickwork patterns look amazing in monochrome! V

Looking at this and noticing the similarity to that of the image of the pop shop on Route 66 you just posted. Both excellent - great tones and compositions. I like this in monotone as well.

Looks splendid in B&W. Very somber and the brick work is cold and somewhat severe, may be the word I’m looking for. Excellent find and top notch conversion, Neil. Vote.

Very nice separation of tones in b/w. The love mortuary . . at least there is love on the way out.

I didn't see the color version, but I sure like it in black and white. The detail you captured in the brick really makes this shot work. That and the stellar composition.

I think black and white was t he right call here. Love that brick how it pops out in monochrome. Also I'm intrigued with the little oddly shaped window(?) and the name of this place!

Lot's of great textures and tones Neil.... sounds a bit like a '60s night spot to me 8-)

The black and white brings out the tonality and I like that, V

I love all the layered geometric shapes. Very well framed and super eye catching in B&W like this. ~BV~
