Airplane Manufacturing Pioneers

I was surprised to see this plaque here. Wichita became an air capitol of the country which developed during the barn storming period of the 20's and 30's. In general, what became the major airplane factories were started by the pilots who raced.

A neat piece of history. I really like vintage look of the plaque emphasized by the damage portion in the lower right corner.
