Best trip ever. Flew to Tahiti, boarded a tramp steamer with a Polynesian crew and toured French Polynesia. Stayed in a crowded bunk room, met interesting people, toured the islands for 19 days and hiked often. Too bad digital was not available for me at the time. The ship was sort of like a Yankee peddler. It dropped very varied supplies off at the islands.
