Every year the Robin uses the same nest. It is in shadow surrounded by white brick. My 200 mm lens isn't sufficient to go into just the shadow area and the white brick affects up the tones in the shadow area. I get on a ladder about 15 feet from the nest and I drive the bird nuts because I keep coming back to get a better quality picture. Next year I'll borrow a longer lens.
