Withered Sahuaro

Taken years ago with a 35mm camera, requiring a long climb to this spot, no trail through cactus,
At the time I thought it worth it. Wouldn't do it now,

you did this in March?! I bet you had no idea rattlesnakes slither regularly
through the land. I was rambling around the desert a few years ago and one
raced about four feet away from me. My underwear are still drying.

I am glad you made the journey and put forth the effort to get this image. I love the composition. The type of image that inspired me to pick up a camera back in prehistoric times. ~V~
