My favorites of 2009

This has been a prolific picture taking year for me despite not having traveled much. I spent more time in Death Valley National Park as a staff member for Elderhostel. This enabled me to add to my photos of this starkly beautiful place. Other than a few days at Yosemite N.P. the remainder of the year I took photos in Wichita where I reside and also venture to rural parts of Kansas. I was gratified to see that Kansas is NOT 'flyover" country. There are things to take photos of if you look and keep an open mind. Something I had not done till now.
