My Rig July 25

For those interested, this is what I've come up with in order to take photos at night or in low light.
1. Canon 50D with a Sigma 150mm macro lens with OS.
2. Canon 580 EX II with auxiliary battery pack for rapid fire flash.
3. LED flashlight with custom bracket that attaches to the tripod mount.

Before I started using this I used a hand held a flash light.
