2008 NORTH CAROLINA APPLE FESTIVAL (Photos Taken With A Panasonic FZ18)
This is a gallery of images from the 2008 North Carolina Apple Festival. The festival is held each year on Labor Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), in Hendersonville, North Carolina, to recognize the importance of apples and the apple industry to Henderson County and to Western North Carolina.
The festival features a street fair, with arts & crafts vendors, live entertainment, apple growers and their products, food, activities for youth and children and a Labor Day parade. Nine blocks of Hendersonville's Main Street is closed to traffic for these activities, as thousands of visitors enjoy the festival. This year, we had an early rain shower on Monday and it threatened rain most of the rest of the day, but stayed dry.
The photos were taken with a Panasonic FZ18 digital camera. Anyone wishing to find out more about this camera may visit: www.forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1033
NOTE: These photos were taken on Labor Day. I was only able to capture the first part of Monday's parade, as one of my group had a medical emergency and we had to leave early. My apologies to the school marching bands, community organizations, creators of theme floats and other participants who are not represented here.
Voting for this gallery because I think you have really gotten the best out of the FZ18 and I think people should know what can get if they put just a little effort into processing their images.
