A homemade headstone, in the slave burial section. Someone cared enough and was skilled enough to make this relatively large marker. The stone reads, "IN MEMORY OF CAROLIN HERREN. DIED DEC THE FIRST 1874. AGE 47 YEARS." Note the backwards "N" in the first word.
