OUR GUIDE TOOK US TO ST. PAUL'S CHAPEL - AN IMPORTANT PLACE OF REFUGE ON THE DAY OF THE 9/11 ATTACK

A historic church (George Washington had a pew here), made even more so by events from 9/11. This church was a place of refuge for many firemen and other responders as well as survivors of that terrorist attack, as it miraculously survived the attack and building collapse of towers 1 & 2. Although still an active church, the building also houses a sizable collection of 9/11 memorabilia.
