RIP

This deceased racoon was found on the very edge of a county road in early morning with no outward visible injuries. From a distance it appeared to be sleeping althought the facial expressions would appear to indicate some form of trauma caused it's demise..

Oh, the poor thing. I bet it met with a car. I thought it was sleeping, too, from the thumbnail, but then realized it wouldn't be doing that on a roadside. Cars are a menace in more ways than one to so much wildlife.
