Battle of Guard Hill

Shooting a Canon with a Canon.... I took a dozen or so shots of canon's firing off, until I got one with some visible flames. Exciting!!!

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
1/125s f/16.0 at 300.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

This is a very realistic reminder of wars gone by.

Excellent! A photographer with a steely nerve. Now me, that would be BOOOOOM! (that's the cannon!) Click... (that's me releasing the shutter 1.5 seconds later having survived momentary heart failure)...

Actually -- shooting a Rebel Canon with a digital Rebel Canon.

Nice shot. Both of you.

Wow! Its very difficult to capture such transient events manually.

Very nice catch, Naomi, esp. with your 3 fps XTi/400D!

I was there with my 40D set at 6.5 fps keeping the shutter button down 'til I shot nearly 200 frames --yet I didn't get a single fiery cannon shot, just 200 smokey in-betweeners! LOL

Anyway, it was a fun event. Thanks for letting me know about it, and many congrats on your great captures. :-)
