PCSO Jackie Adams Receives Merit Award
Police Community Support Officer Jackie Adams was presented with an Area Merit Award in October 2009 for creating a new approach to school visits and introducing children to the work she does.



Area Merit Awards are given by Suffolk Constabulary to employees (Police Officers, PCSOs & civilian staff) in recognition of work well done and beyond that normally expected in the job description.

Jackie devised the concept of using a ‘story bag’ containing items, which young children would feel at ease with. Her idea also incorporates the rendition of a poem Jackie wrote herself, which uses language children can understand and relate to.
