Two visits to Ailsa Craig in the Firth of Clyde Scotland. Jun '06 & Jul ‘07.

The first was Ayr Photographic Society's second attempt to reach the island from Girvan. Our first try, the previous week was blown off. The day started a little overcast but improved later. This was followed by a visit in July ’07 by the Paisley University Walkers. A much better sunny day.

Wonderful photos Ian, I noticed a stock pile of granite on the beach next to the photo of the lighthouse! I wonder when some of them will be made into curling stones, and perhaps used in some future winter olympics!
Great pictures from a wonderful trip, thanks for showing them. Your photography has more than a touch of class.
