While I was there, they shut off the flow of the water from a dam on the Platte River and the river went dry and everything in it died. That made farmers happy because no water was being wasted that could have gone to the corn.
That is absolutely wrong they have no right controlling nature in that way. The Platte River used to be twice the size that it is today until they damed it and channelized it.
