The Greek Island of Santorini (also called Thira)

We visit the whitewashed hilltop towns of Oia and Fira with their breathtaking views of the caldera and the sea below. (A caldera is a volcanic feature formed by the collapse of land following a volcanic eruption.) The island was formed by a volcanic eruption about 3,500 years ago.
