Leopard geckos are native to the deserts in Asia and throughout Pakistan and northern India. Unlike other geckos, they have eyelids. They look similar to the African fat-tailed gecko, but they have bumpy skin. They are nocturnal animals. The scientific name is eublepharis macularius.
