From Delhi we rode the sleeper train to Varanasi. What an adventure that was! A couple of guys from the UK shared our 4 bunk compartment and they won our instant affection by offering to take the two top bunks! We paid them back the next day when the train was 5 hours late by sharing our stash of snacks. We remember Varanasi for the Ganges River and the Maha Aarti ritual performed on its banks.
