Front Room

Our Sauder and Bush bookshelves were retired and we organized this room to give Bill a music room and library where he can compose, practice, and be comfortable.

But when we went to start the project, we ran into a big problem. The living room carpet was sitting on a false floor that was hiding a concrete slab that had sunken in and broken in two! Other cracks in the walls indicated that the six piers that were placed ten years before we bought the house were not enough to do the job of stabilizing the living room and foyer that had been sinking. They only held up one end. We were still sinking in the middle and the other end!
