Photo Contest '07

The following photos are the ones that I'm thinking of submitting in the 2007 Broad Meadow Brook photo contest. The show opens on April 1st and will be on display until the end of August. The categories are: People in Nature, Wildlife, Sanctuary Waters, Best of Season, and Best of Show. If you have any favorites of this grouping, please leave me a comment since I'm going to have trouble picking the best four or five photos for submission. Thanks.

Really nice photos. My personal faves are: SNAPPING TURTLE (you can't go wrong with big burly reptiles); FLOWER W/TWO PLUME MOTHS (it's unusual and beautiful); MUSHROOM5 (NICE COMPOSITION OF COLOR); MOUNTAIN LAUREL (OK, it pretty); Skunk Cabbage (nice view of sanctuary); Shedding Snake (unusual and not typical)

These are all beautiful! My favorites in descending order (if that helps):
snow cones (my favorite - really whimsical)
ice crystals (the color contrast is really nice and the microscopic ice is so cool)
fragmites (i love the color contrast and depth of field)
wood lily (the colors are so vivid)
sprout and mushroom are tied (they are such nice representations of forest floors).
