Backdrop to Hobart, Tasmania, southern Australia. This was my playground when i was a teenager. In winter it's pretty cold - although the snow cover is less than when i was a kid. It comes less far down and the patterns are different in timing. The first snow used to be in the week of my mother's birthday, which was May 6. That was regular. Now, we'll sometimes get a snowfall in early April, which melts, and sometimes later in June. A hot day down at sea-level is a joy and delight up the top. Lizards, great open sky and miles and miles of rocks to hop. Great place.
