From Da Nang down to Hoi An, there are two highways: the inner one is the older, bus route. This one is the newer one which serves the growing flood of five-star hotels. These hotels have displaced local fishing villages and use resources like water at an amazing rate to create lush golf courses in sand. We rode down both roads on our bicycles - only to the Marble Mountains, since going to Hoi An then riding back was a bit beyond my prowess.
