Approaching the beach: well, approaching the shingles. The beach is mostly rocks. This boulder had a colonising plant in a small hollow weathered into the top. the lichen is always attractive. I read somewhere that lichen means the air is clean, but I'm not entirely sure about the idea, although I can't imagine much air pollution in this place.
