A calm day, nevertheless, enough mist to create rainbows… Note the wave rearing up from the cliff opposite. That wave would be tens of metres high. The cliffs in this area go from heavily laden fossi sand/mudstone cliffs around to columnar dolerite. It is spectacular on a stormy day, and deadly for sailors at times. The sydney-Hobart yacht race rounds this area before ailing up the Derwent River.
